Tips for OSRS Skills Training - Useful Items for Slayer and Combat Skills

02/22/22

Do you like training Slayer or Combat skills in Old School RS? Do you know what items are useful for the skills training in the game? Now, let us take a look at those items.

Slayer Helm

Firstly, unlock the "Malevolent masquerade" ability for 400 slayer reward points, then combine the Black mask, Earmuffs, Facemask, Nose peg, Spiny helmet, Enchanted gem, and Reinforced goggles (If you have completed A Porcine of Interest.) to make a Slayer helm with Level 55 Crafting. To make the helm, you need a Crafting level of 55. And a Defence level of 10 to equip it.

The helm provides all the special effects of the combined slayer equipment. When you are on a slayer task, you can get a 16.67% boost to melee damage and accuracy from the helm. You can upgrade the helm to a Slayer helmet (i), which gives you a 15% damage boost to both Magic and Ranged.

Rune pouch

You can store up to 16,000 of three different types of runes. So it saves you two inventory spaces. While you are casting a spell, it will use the runes in the Pouch.

You can buy the Rune pouch from a Slayer master for 750 Slayer reward points, the Last Shopper for 75 Last Man Standing points, or the Grand Exchange for millions of OSRS Gold coins.

Herb sack

You can store up to 30 of each of the grimy herbs, for a total of 420. It saves lots of your inventory spaces and bank runnings. It’s useful for killing monsters that often drop valuable herbs when training Slayer or Combat skills. Open it to make the grimy herbs be deposited in there directly. Note that you cannot store cleaned herbs in it.

You can buy the Herb sack from a Slayer master for 750 Slayer reward points, or Farmer Gricoller's Rewards for 250 Tithe Farm points.

Bonecrusher necklace

You can create a Bonecrusher necklace by combining the Bonecrusher (a reward from the hard Morytania Diary) and Dragonbone necklace with a Hydra tail. The necklace must be charged with ecto-tokens first before use. You will gain 25 charges per ecto-token used, and one charge will be used per bone crushed. It will automatically crush the bones while it is in your inventory, charged, and activated. You can receive half of the experience from burying the bones.

You can restore your prayer points when you are wearing it:

1 prayer point for regular Bones
2 prayer points for Big bones
3 prayer points for Baby dragon bones and Wyrm bones
4 prayer points for Dragon, Wyvern, Drake, Dagannoth and Hydra bones
5 prayer points for Superior dragon bones

You can use it to train Slayer and Combat skills if you don't care the bones waste.
