OSRS Scrambled! Quest Guide

Scrambled! is the latest OSRS quest released along with The Final Dawn and Shadows of Custodia on 23 July 2025. The quest is set at the temple north of Tal Teklan. It's also short and easy to complete. The final puzzle may puzzle you. But no worries, here is a detailed guide below.

Quest Requirements

You must have completed the Children of the Sun quest to access Varlamore. And also, it requires 38 Construction, 36 Cooking, and 35 Smithing.

Items

Although you can get all the required items during the quest, we suggest you prepare them before starting.

Bowl of water

2 Planks

6 Iron nails (take more in case they bend)

Saw

Hammer

Varrock teleport/Charged Quetzal whistle to use the Quetzal Transport System

Food (for low-level players) and combat gear

Stamina potion (4)

Walkthrough

1. Teleport to Varrock if you don't have a Charged Quetzal whistle. Then, run east to the entrance. Go south along the wall and use Primio the bird to access Civitas illa Fortis.

2. Use the western bird to travel to Tal Teklan.

3. Go north to the quest start location in Tal Teok Temple. (check on the world map, marked as an unstarted quest icon)

4. Speak to Alan twice. (Chat 1)

5. Inspect the fallen egg.

6. Go to the bar west of the bank and speak to King, the bartender. (Chat 2)

7. Speak to Acatzin in the bar. (Chat 1)

8. Go southwest to the smithing building from the bar, and speak to the Blacksmith.

9. Repair the whetstone in the building.

10. Speak to the Blacksmith again to get Acatzin's axe, and repair it on the whetstone.

11. Go back and speak to Acatzin in the bar.

12. Go to the temple directly south of the bar and speak to Nezketi to get an empty cup. (Chat 1)

13. Go to the eastern entrance and pick up the Damiana leaves north of the broken cart.

14. Use the Damiana leaves on the Bowl of water. Then, use the Bowl on the oven (in the building west of the broken cart) to boil the Damiana water.

15 Use the Damiana water on the empty cup. Go back and speak to Nezketi.

16. Go to the eastern entrance from the temple, where you found the Damiana leaves. And, speak to Kauayotl. (Chat 1)

17. Repair the broken cart. (Chat 1)

18. Speak to Kauayotl again.

19. Go back to the quest start location and speak to any of the three men.

20. Go south to the chicken farm (north of the bank) and search the eggs.

21. Kill the large chicken and search the eggs again to get a big white egg.

22. Go northeast from the farm and use the log balance (40 agility is required). If you don't have 40 agility, go northeast further, then south across the bridge. Go west to the cave entrance.

23. Enter the dragon nest, and go to the southeastern section. Equip an Anti-dragon shield or use Protect from magic to void the heavy damage from the dragonfire.

24. Search the red eggs and defeat the red dragon. You can stand east of the eggs and use magic or ranged attacks to kill it safely.

25. Search the red eggs again for a big red egg.

26. Exit the cave and go southeast to the campsite (a brown circular area with a protrusion on the upper left marked on the world map).

27. Search the eggs and defeat the Black jaguar.

28. Search the eggs again to get a light yellow egg.

29. Return to the quest start location and speak to all three men.

30. Watch the cutscene and finish all dialogue to start solving the puzzle. If one piece is in the correct place, you cannot move or rotate it anymore. Check the puzzle-solving in the video.

31. There will be another cutscene when you complete the puzzle. Watch it to complete the quest.

Talk to the egg on the wall to get an egg, which you can place in your house.

You can now pick Alan's bones from just south of the temple.
