OSRS Kudos - the Varrock Museum Activity Introduction

When you open the OSRS quest panel and click the Bone Voyage, you will find that 100 Kudos is required to start it. What's Kudos? How can you get them? You will find the answers in the following.

What's Kudos

Kudos is the reward that you can obtain for helping the Varrock Museum. You can check how much Kudos you have by entering the Museum. It will show you how many Kudos you have in the top left corner of the screen when you enter the Museum. You can also check the tasks for Kudos with the information booth found in the southwest corner of the Museum's 1st floor.

How to Get Kudos

You can get a maximum of 230 Kudos in total through five different methods:

Cleaning finds (50 Kudos)

If you have completed the Dig Site quest, you can enter the Dig Site cleaning area in the southern part of the 1st floor of the Varrock Museum. Collect uncleaned finds and clean them on the open specimen tables for:

Pottery (10 Kudos)

Old symbol (10 Kudos)

Ancient symbol (10 Kudos)

Ancient coin (10 Kudos)

Old coin (10 Kudos)

Natural history quiz (28 Kudos)

Speak to Orlando Smith in the center of the room on the basement floor to start the quiz. Click on the plaque in front of each display (14 in total) to answer questions. After answering three questions correctly, you will earn two kudos each (a total of 28).

Quests (75 Kudos)

There are 15 quests award Kudos, five each and 75 in total. The quests list is as follows:

Demon Slayer, Rune Mysteries, Shield of Arrav, The Grand Tree, Hazeel Cult, In Aid of the Myreque, Making History, Merlin's Crystal, Observatory Quest, Priest in Peril, A Tail of Two Cats, Temple of Ikov, and What Lies Below.

After completing all quests, go to the second floor and speak to Historian Minas to get Kudos and some experience lamps.

Miniquest (10 Kudos)

After the Curse of the Empty Lord miniquest, speak to Historian Minasto and receive 10 Kudos and an experience lamp.

Fossil displays (72 Kudos)

Once you have completed the Bone Voyage quest, you can collect unidentified fossils around Fossil Island. Clean and identify fossils, then add them to the empty displays on the Museum's paleontology floor.

Completing each display will give you two kudos and an antique lamp.

Ancient relics (5 Kudos)

When you mine Barronite within the Ruins of Camdozaal, you will get Barronite deposits. You may receive an ancient relic from breaking them.

There are five ancient relics: Ancient globe, Ancient ledger, Ancient astroscope, Ancient treatise, and Ancient carcanet.

Once you have them, speak to Curator Haig Halen to exchange for five Kudos.

Uses of Kudos

You can only accrue Kudos but cannot spend them.

100 Kudos for the requirement of the Bone Voyage quest

150 Kudos for access to Volcanic Mine

153 Kudos for access to the Workman's gate; a requirement for the Hard Varrock diary

Speak to the information clerk on the ground floor for experience:

1,000 Mining experience (51+ Kudos)

2,500 Crafting experience and 3,500 Mining experience (101+ Kudos)

4,000 experience in Crafting, Hunter, Prayer, Slayer, and Smithing (151+ Kudos)
