OSRS Desert Treasure II Bosses Changes & Improvements

08/18/23

Desert Treasure II - The Fallen Empire, the epic OSRS quest, launched on 26 July 2023. Have you completed it? If not, we at RSBee can help you. After the quest, you can repeatedly challenge the four bosses for sweet drops. Recently, Jagex made some changes and improvements to these bosses.

Vardorvis

The Strangler's vines will now use Vardorvis' Head to launch a single green projectile instead of the blue to indicate that it is a Ranged attack.

When Vardorvis uses the Jump/Dash attack, at least one spike will always spawn.

The Strangle special attack will no longer appear twice consecutively.

The Whisperer

During the whole battle, you will see Hitsplats for Sanity damage.

The Whisperer will no longer incorrectly do more attacks in a row.

During the quest, the entrails will always spawn after you have killed the Whisperer, even if you are dead or have teleported out. You can go back and search for her medallion.

It now drops the clues correctly.

The respawn timer has been decreased slightly.

The Whisperer will no longer prompt you to use the Awakener's Orb if you have already killed it on the same trip.

The Leviathan

The colour of the Melee projectiles has been adjusted to be clearer for visual impairments players.

You will now gain the default experience when casting Shadow spells.

The basic projectiles will no longer hit through Prayer in the period after the boss enrages and before the buff NPC spawns.

When you are on a Slayer task, the Leviathan now has chances to drop Brimstone Keys.

Duke Sucellus

The vent attack during the preparation phase is now predictable.

The Duke's sight overlay will be cleared upon leaving the instance.

The rendering of the Duke's vent and acid walk projectiles have been improved to be clearer to avoid damage.

Of course, there are still more details that need to be improved. For example, should Duke's Gas Flare stop immediately after it dies? Although it will not damage you.
