OSRS Crystal Shards - How to Obtain and Use
Crystal shards are obtained by participating in various activities within Prifddinas after the OSRS quest Song of the Elves. You can use them to create and charge various crystal equipment at the crystal singing.
Obtaining Shards
There are many ways to obtain Crystal shards within Prifddinas:
Harvesting a crystal tree: 8-10 shards and can be increased to 14-16 if using ultracompost when planting (70 Farming required)
Completing The Gauntlet: 3–7 shards from Normal and 5-9 shards from Corrupted
Defeating Zalcano: 1-3 shards
Opening the Elven Crystal Chest: enhanced crystal keys required, 1/12.8 chance for 8–13 shards
Completing laps of the Prifddinas Agility Course: 1/3 chance to get one shard when traveling through every shortcut portal
Catching crystal implings: 1/18 chance to get 5-10 shards
Killing guards and monsters in Prifddinas and Iorwerth Dungeon: 1/24 to get one shard; superior slayer monsters are guaranteed to drop one
Pickpocketing Elves in Prifddinas: 1/35 chance to get one shard; wearing rogue equipment will get two
Chopping any tree in Prifddinas: 1/80 chance to get one shard
Mining ore in the Trahaearn mine, tephra during the Zalcano fight, and a Crashed Star in Prifddinas: 1/127 chance to get one shard
You can also exchange various crystal seeds with Amrod in the Hefin Inn for crystal shards:
Crystal weapon seed - 10 shards
Crystal tool seed - 100 shards
Enhanced crystal teleport seed - 150 shards
Crystal armour seed - 250 shards
Enhanced crystal weapon seed - 1500 shards
Using Shards
You can use Crystal shards at the Crystal singing in Prifddinas with appropriate Smithing and Crafting levels to sing equipment, Enhanced crystal key, and Eternal teleport crystal.

You can ask Conwenna or Reese to sing them for additional crystal shards if you don't meet the OSRS skill requirements. But we don't suggest you do that.
You can also use a pestle and mortar on Crystal shards to make crystal dust (10 dust per shard). The dust is a Herblore tertiary ingredient used for creating divine potions.
