Gears/Items: Combat gears for melee and Bow and Arrows/Combat Runes for Ranger/Mage.
The void ranger helm is a piece of Void Knight equipment obtained as a reward from the Pest Control minigame. It can be bought from a Void Knight for 200 commendation points; players also must have at least 42 Attack, Strength, Defence, Hitpoints, Ranged, Magic and 22 Prayer to buy and wear one.
The ranger helm grants the player a 10% boost to Ranged damage (12.5% with Elite equipment) and a 10% boost to Ranged accuracy if worn alongside the other three equipment pieces (Void knight top, Void knight robe and Void knight gloves). The Void knight mace is not required for the bonus.
It should be noted that while void knight armour significantly increases Ranged output against targets which are lacking in Defence, the substantial attack bonus provided by regular ranged armour makes the latter more effective against stronger opponents such as bosses.
If the player dies below level 20 Wilderness, it will remain in the player's inventory. However, the item will be unusable and must be repaired with 40,000 coins by using the item on Perdu.
