Scar Essence Mine - Will You Spend Your OSRS Gold on Runic Extracts
Scar essence mine is a place that is full of Amalgamations. You can mine these Amalgamations for Tainted essence chunks. Then, deposit the chunks into any Ventriculus opening around. Withdraw Runic extracts from the extract orifice after putting some OSRS gold coins into Hagus' coffer. You will craft more runes while the correct Runic extracts are in your inventory.
Requirements
You have started the Desert Treasure II and had the golem output Dr Banikan's last search term.
66 Mining is required to mine Amalgamations. And, of course, you must meet the requirements for Desert Treasure II.
You must have some OSRS gold coins for Runic extracts.
Getting There
The quickest method is to use the Ring of shadows if you have completed Desert Treasure II and unlocked the Scar option. Or teleport to the Temple of the Eye with an Amulet of the eye.
Otherwise, buy a Necklace of passage and use the Wizard Tower option. Then, head to the Temple of the Eye and talk to the Catalytic Guardian by the portal to enter the Scar.
Once in the Scar, jump past the two stepping stones to the east, then the southern step stone. Enter the passage.
Note: If you are the first time to enter the Scar, you have to kill all monsters here.
Scar Essence Mine
You have to speak to Hagus to learn more about the mine before you can mine Amalgamations here. (Chat 2-1-1-1-4)
Amalgamations
You will find many Amalgamations for mining in the area. Each Tainted essence chunk gives you 6 Mining experiences. And sometimes, you may get more than one chunk per successful mining.
Ventriculus Opening
You can find some Ventriculus openings within the mine, where you can deposit Tainted essence chunks into them. You can also inspect them for how many chunks you have deposited.
Hagus' Coffer
You will find the coffer in the center of the mine. Deposit your OSRS coins into it to pay Hagus for Ventriculus' extracts.
Essence Orifice
The Essence orifice can convert two Tainted essence chunks to one Pure essence. It's free. You can find the Essence orifice west of the Ventriculus openings on the south wall, just south of Hagus.
Extract Orifice
You will find the Extract orifice east of the Ventriculus openings on the south wall, just south of Hagus. You can use it to obtain runic extracts - Warped, Twisted, Mangled, Scarred. However, Hagus will charge you. You will learn more about these four extracts when the first time you use the Extract Orifice.

How to Use Extracts
It's easy to use these extracts. Just leave them in your inventory while crafting runes.
As an Ironman, it may be a nice method to obtain runes. But as a regular player, we don't suggest you spend your OSRS coins on Runic Extracts. Or rather, Scar Essence Mine is not designed for regular players. No players will spend their time in this area. Will you?
