OSRS Sleeping Giants Quest & Giants' Foundry Minigame Guide

Today, the Sleeping Giants, a new OSRS quest, and the Giants' Foundry, the latest Smithing minigame, launched in the OSRS game. Here is a complete guide for the quest walkthrough and the minigame.

Sleeping Giants Quest Guide

Requirements

15 Smithing, 14 Bars, a Hammer (normal one), a Chisel, 3 Oak logs, a piece of wool, 10 Nails, and a bucket of water are the required skill and items for the quest.

Start out

1. Use an enchanted amulet of glory to teleport to the Al Kharid palace and head toward the east to the Desert Plateau.

2. Strike the Hill Giant and talk to him at the quest start point. Accept by choosing the Yes option.

3. In the cutscene, you will find that the giant has a name: Kovac. Go through all chats.

4. Repair the broken Polishing wheel, Grindstone, and Trip hammer.

5. Talk to Kovac.

6. Talk to Kovac again, and search the create to the south of him, next to the entrance.

7. Talk to Kovac and fill the crucible with the bars. Withdraw 14 more bars from your bank, and fill it full.

8. Talk to Kovac and set up the mould at Mould jig with the two keywords he gave you.

9. Talk to Kovac again and pour the metal from the crucible.

10. Talk to Kovac and cool the mould down with a bucket of water, or pick it up directly if you have Ice gloves on.

11. Pick up the sword from the Mould jig.

Refine the Sword

There are three colors of the temperature bar and the completion progress bar related to the three tools. The red corresponds to the Tip hammer, the yellow corresponds to the Grindstone, and the green corresponds to the Polishing wheel.

1. Heat the sword by using it on the lava pool, and make sure that the temperature bar is in the higher red section.

2. Hit the sword with the Trip hammer. Keep the temperature bar red before the completion bar goes to the yellow section. If you find the temperature is lower, heat it again.

3. Cool down the sword by using it on the Waterfall, and make it reach the end of the yellow section.

4. Use the Grindstone to grind it. Keep the temperature bar yellow before the completion bar goes to the green section. If you find the temperature is higher, cool it down again.

5. Cool it down by using it on the Waterfall, and make sure the temperature bar is in the higher green section.

6. Use the Polishing wheel to polish it. Keep the temperature bar green before the completion bar goes to the end. If you find the temperature is lower, heat it again.

7. Talk to Kovac to complete the quest.

Giants' Foundry Guide

Game Play

1. We have learned how to make the sword in the quest. Now you can ask Kovac for another commission.

2. Set up the mould with the two keywords he gave you again, and fill the crucible with 28 bars. Pour the metal from the crucible into the mould.

3. Cool it down with a bucket of water, or pick it up directly if you have Ice gloves on.

4. Refine the sword as we talked about in the quest guide (the Refine the Sword section).

You can use different bars to get more points and Smithing experiences, and the best is using the Adamant and Rune bars.

Reward

You can get up to 276,000 Smithing experiences per hour, along with some Foundry Reputation. You can purchase the unique items at Kovac's shop with the Foundry Reputation.

What's more, you can purchase your Giants Foundary Moulds from Kovac, which cost 300 to 450 Foundry Reputation. Check them in the game.
