OSRS Revenant Maledictus Released and Wilderness Slayer Cave Changes
The Revenant Caves are a set of dangerous caverns found in the wilderness where you can kill Revenant monsters from level 7 Revenant imps to level 135 Revenant dragons to get good profits. They drop various items, equipment and some unique items like Amulet of avarice, Craw's bow (u), Thammaron's scepter (u), Viggora's chainmace (u) and Ancient items. On 3 February 2022, Revenant Maledictus - a new demi-boss was released. But remember that the area is counted as the wilderness Singles-plus combat, and other players may attack you from time to time.
How Does It Work
Just like the superior variants in slayer, you must kill a certain amount of revenants in the caves to have a chance to make the maledictus appear. The chances of the maledictus appearing are based on the revenant combat levels and the kill counts. We can find it on the official website of Old School RS:
Player A killed a level 80 revenant, the Maledictus spawn chance is 80/X to spawn.
Player B then killed another level 90 revenant, the chance is (80+90)/X.
Player C then killed the other level 125 revenant, the chance is (80+90+125)/X.
The Drops of Maledictus
You will get 3 times Revenant Dragon's drop once the Maledictus is killed. One roll is guaranteed to be a lower-tier ancient emblem or ancient totem. And the other 2 rolls are the same as the standard loot table of the Revenant Dragon. If you deal the most damage with Amulet of Avarice on, you will get a 'Forinthry Surge' buff, which gives you a 15% Damage and Accuracy boost for all combat styles while fighting Revenants.
Other Changes in Wilderness Slayer Cave
With the Revenant Maledictus’release, some new task-only monsters were added to the Wilderness Slayer cave:
Abyssal Demons (task amount = 75-125)
Dust Devils (task amount = 75-125)
Jellies (task amount = 100-150)
Nechryaels (task amount = 75-125)
Kindly remind: Because the wilderness is a PVP area, if you are going to kill revenants or complete the slayer tasks and are not good at PKing, do remember to bring the worthless items. If you are tired of Slayer training, contact us and we will be glad to do the boring work for you.
