Killing Phantom Muspah - A New OSRS Gold Coins Making Method

With the release of the new OSRS quest - Secrets of the North, many people are trying the Phantom Muspah, a repeatable solo-only boss after the quest. Due to the sweet drops, it's really a great method to make OSRS gold coins in the game, although Jagex has made some changes to the quantities of various items dropped by the boss.

What does Phantom Muspah drop?

Unique Drops

Ancient essence: It always drops 540-2,060 ancient essence if no Frozen cache is dropped. Currently, it costs more than 100 gold coins per essence.

Frozen cache: You can open it for items worth up to 400K+ OSRS gold coins.

Ancient icon: It's untradeable. You can bring it to Eblis along with an ancient staff to create the ancient sceptre, which increases the effects of Ancient Magicks by 10%.

Venator shard: You can combine five shards to create the Venator bow. It costs around 5M OSRS gold for each.

It also drops food and potions: Shark (4-6), Summer pie (4-6), Ancient brew(3) (1-2), Super restore(3) (2-3), Prayer potion(3) (2-3), and Ranging potion(3) (1-2).

There is also a special drop - Charged ice, a 100% drop if you kill the boss in less than 3 minutes. You can use it to change pet forms.

Drop Mechanics & Profits

You will always get two rolls of the drop list.

If it drops a Venator shard, you will get no other drops.

You will have a 2/9 chance to get the food and potion drops (one of each type):

Ancient brew or Ranging potion

Super restore or Prayer potion

Sharks or Summer pies

If you have it rolled, you will only get one more normal loot.

The average kill is worth around 400K OSRS gold coins. So it's really a great method to make OSRS gold coins in the game.
